Poem Seasons October 15, 2019From birth we go through seasonsAccepting on faith God’s reasonsFor the seas we sail on in our questSeeking riches, health and happiness. In our youthful spring we marvelAt our new world as we revel.Sailing on seas calm and blueWith parents as captain and crew. In the long summer of mid-lifeThere is strife just to survive,As we feel the joy and strainOf living through life’s rain. In fall and winter of our yearsWe are thankful for being here. The golden years of retirementBrings peace and contentment. When the sunset of our lives fadeWe ponder the choices made,Praying our many mistakesNot keep us from heavens gate. Yes, quickly do our years passFrom first breath until the last.Fleeting as a sparrow through airFirst we are here – Then we are there.Written by: Kenneth J.
