B.L.E.S.S

B – Begin with prayer. We want you to ask, ‘God how do you want me to bless the people in the places you’ve sent me to?’
L – Listen. Don’t talk, but listen to people, their struggles, their pains, in the places God sent you.
E – Eat. You can’t just check this off. It’s not quick. You have to have a meal with people or a cup of coffee. It builds relationships.
S – Serve. If you listen with people and you eat with people they will tell you how to love them and you’ll know how to serve them.
S – Story. When the time is right, now we talk and we share the story of how Jesus changed our life.

B – BEGIN WITH PRAYER Prayer is the the vital starting point when it comes to sharing the good news of Jesus and blessing others.

L – LISTEN WITH CARE {Proverbs 18} People feel valued, loved, and respected when we choose to listen with care.

E – EAT TOGETHER {2 Samuel 9} Inviting others to eat with us sets the table for transformation and redemption.

S – SHARE YOUR STORY {Acts 22:3-22} God wants to use our life story to draw others to faith in Christ. As we open up, we must remember to be honest about our past, honor God as the one who changed our lives, and to share courageously.

S – SERVE IN LOVE {Matthew 20:20-28} We all get caught up in doing good things for the wrong reasons at some point in our lives. The story prompts us to ask ourselves four questions to make sure the way we serve others follows in the footsteps of Jesus.

While out walking the next time in your neighborhood … pray this

Body – Pray for their health, protection, and strength.

Labor – Pray that God would bless their work and provide for their income needs.

Emotional – Pray that God would give them true joy, peace, and comfort.

Social – Pray that they would have healthy relationships—with their spouse, children, and friends—or that God would provide them with true friends.

Spiritual – Pray for their salvation, that they would come to faith in Christ and be freed from whatever spiritual bondage they may find themselves in.
