Urgent letter to St. Nicholas

Approaching December 6. St. Nicholas sat and read the letters that the children sent him before his name-day. The old bishop, surrounded by everyone loved in heaven, was surrounded by angels. They opened letters and organized for him. Sometimes a holy old man could not cope with the scribbles scribbled by a kid who was just beginning to learn the hard and difficult art of writing. Then, at his request, the angels took this letter in their delicate hands and read it to the saint aloud.

– What did he write there? asked the saint with concern. – Take it and look, because I can’t read these scribbles.

The angel took another letter and read:

– “Please, Saint Nicholas, bring me a turn.”

– Oh, it’s your turn. What next?

– “Such a train that I would fit in it, me and my little dog Ciapek and my kitten Łapek”.

– Long rails. Because I want to train their tour around the world. “

– Well, well, well. How did he so Wędrowniczek. And what is written here?

Angel took the letter. Then he began:

” Reverend St. Claus! I am asking you to send me a real sausage. So long that it lasts until next year. And next year I will ask you for the same. “

– Where does he have such a craving for sausage?” The saint was surprised.

The next letter was difficult to read. Santa gave the angel a wrinkled piece of paper.

“Read, read. Waste of time. So many more letters to read, “said the saint

– “Santa Claus! I am not asking you for any toys or sweets. I am asking you for only one thing. Heal my Mother.”

It got quiet. After a moment of silence. Nicholas asked:

Is that all what is written there?

– Not yet. “My mother is seriously ill for a long time and no medicine helps. The doctors said: Only God can save her. I thought that God is not easy to get to, because so many people are still asking Him for something, so I am writing to You that you would put in a word for God for my mother. “

Saint Nicholas asked the angel to show him this child. The angel looked around the earth and pointed. St. Nicholas narrowed his eyes and looked carefully, though he didn’t need it. He saw the boy in the hospital by his mother’s bed.

– It means he’s alive.

He rose briskly from his chair.

– I’ll come here soon.

– Where are you going Santa?

– How is this where? the saint was surprised. – To God, to ask Him for His mother’s health.
